Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The Parent Teacher Organization is an integral part of the school culture at Academia Moderna. As an organization we strongly believe that parents represent one of the key groups in determining not only the success of the individual student, but also of the school as a whole. In fact, parental engagement has become such a dynamic part of Academia Moderna that last year we started the Parent University as a means of providing parents with the opportunity to learn skills and information that can assist them in both their personal and professional lives.

At Academia Moderna, the PTO manages our brand new Parent Center, which is a stand alone building specifically designed to provide a facility where classes for parent education can be taught and for strategic planning that can expect to include information technology.

All parents are encouraged to inquire regarding the PTO at Academia Moderna and become an active volunteer.

Currently, classes are being offered for citizenship, English as a second language, financial literacy, healthy food choices and for recreational purposes… salsa dancing.
